In a wedding, the audience is very eager to hear the wedding speech, it’s one of the most anticipated moment in a wedding.

There are three speeches in a wedding that we usually found, the first one would be the father of the bride speech, well this speech will be very heartfelt, a very emotional speech that could brings tears in everyone’s eyes, in several occasions when a father is not available to give a speech, the mother of the bride usually will take his place.

The second wedding speech is the groom’s speech, this one usually a short one because the groom usually will thank his parents, the audience and everyone who made all the reception possible.

Now I don’t know which wedding speech you will create, but nevertheless, I just want to tell you that the audience will be the main factor you should consider when creating your wedding speech. Because when you delivering your speech, you’re not only addressing your speech to the bride and the groom, but also the audience. So each time you’re making a point of speech, a jokes, you should also include your audience into your thoughts.

You should focus on the general interests of the audience and not just centered to the bride and the groom, this way you can have a good interaction with the all the people in that room, and this also will make your speech to be enjoyable by everyone.

Don’t take the audience factor lightly when creating your speech, because they will carry the memory of your speech and how you interact with them through out the years, you can be their inspiration and make your speech to be the talk of the town or you can be their bad example. Write your speech in advance

To make a well delivered speech, you have to write the things you wanted to say in an index card. Think carefully about what you are going to say and write it. Remember several things you have to add in your speech:

• Gratitude to all the audiences for their coming to your wedding reception.

• Gratitude to the parents of both sides for their efforts to help with the wedding planning.

• Gratitude to the people who help with the wedding planning.

• Gratitude to the best man and bridesmaid.

• Gratitude to your spouse for everything she has done with the wedding planning.

• Compliment your spouse of how she looks. Tell her how beautiful she is and how lucky for you to have her as your wife. Tell how much you love her and how you will keep your commitment together with her for the rest of your life.

• You may share your stories with your spouse how you first met her.

• You may also share your stories about the best man you choose. You can say how much you are grateful to have him as your best man.

• At last, you have to share your toast for everyone who attend your wedding.

Practice your speech regularly
After you finish your writing, you can start to practice your speech. Practice your speech regularly. Remember practice makes perfect. Practice until you feel comfortable to bring it out in front of the audience.

Remember, when it is time for you to deliver your speech (usually you will deliver your speech after the father of the bride’s speech) one thing you have to remember is that you have to deliver your speech confidently.
